Together forever β€” that's the real treasure πŸ’–

Our rights came from God, and the Constitution kept us free β€”
so we have temples, where our family is together forever. πŸ›οΈπŸ’–

Why This All Matters

It started with God. The Declaration says our rights come from Him β€” and the Lord raised up wise men to write the Constitution to protect them. A free land is where our family can be sealed together forever.

America turns 250!
On July 4, 2026, America celebrates 250 years since the Declaration of Independence. The prophet and apostles asked us to remember that our freedoms came from God β€” and to fast and give thanks for religious liberty on July 5, 2026.

β€œThe Constitution of the United States is a glorious standard; it is founded in the wisdom of God.”

β€” The Prophet Joseph Smith

β€œI testify that the United States Constitution was divinely inspired … Our loyalty is to the Constitution and its principles.”

β€” President Dallin H. Oaks, β€œDefending Our Divinely Inspired Constitution,” April 2021
πŸ“… That's why families are learning about this at church β€” the 5th-Sunday lesson, β€œCelebrating the Founding of the United States and the U.S. Constitution.”
D&C 101:79–80

Therefore, it is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another. And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose.

D&C 109:54 β€” Kirtland Temple Dedicatory Prayer

Have mercy upon the rulers of our land; may those principles, which were so honorably and nobly defended, namely, the Constitution of our land, by our fathers, be established forever.

D&C 98:5–6

That law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind, and is justifiable before me.

About the Author

Hi, I'm Reif Tauati. This game is a fun little project I built to teach my kids during FHE β€” aligned with the First Presidency's guidance to give β€œinstruction about the significance of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and related events that enabled the Restoration of the Church.”

I barely understand the lingo of these documents, so imagine trying to teach it to kids!! This game is the result of my assignment to β€˜give the lesson’ at our weekly FHE. I got by with a little help from my friend Claude. πŸ™‚

I hope this brings some laughter, some joy, and a greater appreciation for the Lord's hand in all of this.
